Stag Party

Dream
Dream takes place in a room similar to a dining room. There’s a large wooden table in the middle of the room and on the far side of the table there stands a stag with large antlers. Slowly the stag begins to grin at me and then starts to make its way around the table towards me. By this time the grin has become quite menacing and I am feeling frightened. Eventually the stag catches up with me and I start wrestling with it. Then I wake up shouting and kicking.

Meaning
Dreaming of a table suggests that you are considering your social connections with other people and the habits and routines that you have formed in your relationships with them. The dining table shows that you are thinking about how this large network of people helps to fulfill your needs and ensures that you have steady and solid support in your everyday life.

Although you have a great deal of encouragement from your friends and acquaintances, you are unsure of your perceived status within your social network. The stag indicates that you would like to be seen as the leader of the group and to have this position reflected in your social status. To begin with, the thought of being the leader of your group is something that makes you happy and you start to get used to the idea.

However, the reality of actually holding this position makes you very anxious and it’s something that you really begin to struggle with. Even though you want others to accept you as the strong individual who is at the centre of their group, you need to start by honestly accepting your own strengths and weaknesses. This honesty will naturally attract people towards you.

Stinging Remarks

Dream
Hi Ian
I was an actor playing the part of a Cockney gangster. For one scene I had to to put a stinging wasp in my mouth for some reason. Although I had been told that the sting had been disabled and I would not get hurt, as soon as I closed my mouth with the wasp inside it went crazy. I opened my mouth  put my hand in and grabbed the wasp, squashed it and washed it away under a running hot water tap that was next to me. I woke up feeling unable to open my mouth fast enough to get it out before it was going to sting me.
Thanks, Jez

Meaning
When we dream of being actor, it often reflects a need to play out a particular role in waking life. You are probably in a romantic relationship with someone where you feel that you need to appear as tough, streetwise, bad boy character. The reason that you assume this role and behaviour is to make you appear more attractive to your partner.

However, playing this part is sometimes like having words put in your mouth. You often find yourself saying what you think that your partner wants to hear rather than expressing how you really feel. Even though you are just acting out your role when you speak these words, you are not sure if they will be received as harmless sarcasm or a stinging rebuke.

This results in a situation where you don’t know if you are bringing a buzz to your relationship or just being really hurtful. Feeling that you have to behave in this way with your partner is driving you crazy and you want to take some kind of action. Running water often symbolises a free flow of feelings and emotions, so you take the sting out of your words by saying what you genuinely feel.

Test Tube

Hi Ian, I am an adult but my dream is that I am travelling on the tube to get to school. I have a feeling that I am late for a test. I have a feeling that I do not know where I am going on the tube and have to change lines. Changing tubes is scary because it seems more dangerous than in real life. I used to walk to school in real life. Once I get to school I can not find my class because I am too busy trying to find out where the school dinners are being served.
Thanks for your time, Mo

Dream Meaning
Dreaming of travelling in a tube train indicates that you feel that your life is following a tightly defined path where you do what is expected of you. It also suggests that you think that your efforts at work are often not fully recognised by your colleagues. This is frustrating for you because trying to get to school shows that you are keen to have your individual talents recognised and validated by other people.

However, to really have your talents properly recognised by other people, you may have to change direction in your career. This can seem scary and dangerous for you because you are unsure of where you really want your career to take you. The feeling of being late for a test reflects that you have very high standards and you feel that you should be further on in your professional life that you actually are.

Although you do make it to school, the fact that you spend your time looking for school dinners points to your real goal in life. Food usually symbolises a sense of fulfillment, so you should pursue a career path that is personally fulfilling, rather than just doing what is expected of you.

Toilet Mice

Dream
Hi Ian
My place of work was infested with very small mice – mostly appearing on the loo seats. I kept flicking them in and flushing them away one by one but there always seem to be more and more. I also want to put traps on the seats but am scared that I will sit on a trap by mistake and do myself a mischief.
Thanks, Jonathan

Meaning
Dreaming of mice often indicates small problems and anxieties that individually appear to be quite unremarkable and inconsequential. However, these little worries can  mount up into bigger problems that are far more disturbing and destructive. The mice in your dream probably represent some seemingly minor issues and concerns that you have about certain situations in your workplace.

Although you are trying to ignore what is happening, all these little anxieties are accumulating into major worries for you and this is really gnawing away at your self confidence. Toilet seats often symbolise a place where we go to express our needs and relieve our inner tensions. Even though you are managing to deal with these apparently trivial problems one by one, it seems that you are not getting to the bottom of what is causing all your concerns.

You would like to express your concerns about particular workplace issues as soon as they arise but you feel that you will be seen as a mischief maker. You are also concerned that it might be a painful experience for you, but you need to decide if you are a man or a mouse and just say what is on your mind.
