Dreams and Delirium are two states of consciousness that often don’t seem to make any sense. Even though a delirious person may seem to be talking nonsense, they are often trying to make meaningful communication. In this presentation I gave at the ‘Delirium In The ICU’ day hosted by the Intensive Care Society, I described how using Cognitive Framing methods can be helpful in making sense of apparently nonsensical dream and delirium states.
