Our dreams are a global human phenomenon, so I was delighted to be interviewed by health and spirituality writer Diana Timmins for this month’s Australian Natural Health magazine.
Although the In Your Dreams article emphasises the prevalence of Jungian theories in dream analysis, there is no single theory of dreaming.
Even though many people continue to offer single and unequivocal theories, dreams are subjective and emotional experiences, rather than just some physiological function that has a clear and precise explanation.
The truth is that dreams are an imaginal language to be interpreted, not just a mechanical process to be analysed. (And that’s just my own particular perspective, so I guess it’s not Jung-ian, Freud-ian, Adler-ian or whatever-ian, it’s just Ian-ian!)
