Dream
I often have this dream. I move into a new house but find that as I wonder through the rooms I find that some of them are derelict with walls missing. I had not noticed this before hand. I try and rebuild them but don’t have the money and don’t know what to do. I often wake up in a panic and sweat.
Meaning
When we dream of a house we are often dreaming about our own self. If we dream of moving into a new house, we tend to be putting other people’s needs before our own and in some ways we are assuming their identities rather than affirming our own.
This is reflected in the derelict rooms that suggest you spend more time looking after other people rather than looking after yourself and the missing walls mean that you need to establish clear boundaries between your own needs and the needs of others. Although you try to establish these boundaries you lack the confidence to say a firm ‘No’ to requests for your help.
In your waking life, when someone asks you to do something that you don’t really need to, just say ‘No’ to them. It doesn’t have to be a big thing that you refuse to help with and the more that you practice this, the more you can establish clear boundaries between your needs and the needs of others. As you do this the walls in your dream will rebuild themselves into a beautiful dream house.
