The lovely Sherrie Hewson shared this dream on Twitter today…
‘had dream, I was at a race meeting and all the horses were watching and all the punters were jumping over the fences! what’s that about?’
The reply I tweeted back to Sherrie was…
‘You’re trying to harness your creative energies but are concerned about some of the obstacles that might lie in your way… instead of just considering your options in a detached manner, it’s time to make the leap and get your ambitions on track.’
When we dream about animals we are usually reflecting on our own creative impulses. Horses symbolise how we harness these powerful instincts and use them to move ourselves forward. Being at a meeting where all the horses are watching suggests that Sherrie is aware of her powerful creative instincts but sometimes shies away from putting them into action.
The punters jumping over the fences are her concerns about possible barriers to her progress and all the hoops she might have to jump through to make things happen. However, to fully use her creative potential, she needs to spur herself on and get her dreams on track, rather than just being saddled with possible regrets of what might have been.
